Yellow Fever Vaccine Now Available
Get vaccinated now by calling the American Vaccine Center Jolan Shirley Rhodes M.D. Medical Director. We administer shots to entire families, including children and adults of all ages. We are a general pediatric medical practice for infants through age 18. We are also a certified Yellow Fever vaccine center for adults and children providing the international certificate of vaccination (yellow book). Each Yellow Fever shot is valid for 10 years.
Our Physician
Dr. Jolan Shirley Rhodes, is a member of the AMA American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Prince George's County Medical Society. She attended Howard University College of Medicine and is a recipient of the prestigious college Chairman's Award. She worked in the District of Columbia General Hospital emergency department for five years, was the chairwoman of the pediatric department at Providence Hospital for eight years and was the clinical professor for Howard University's Family Practice Residency Program.
Dr. Rhodes has gone on medical mission trips to Uganda for four years and continues this humanitarian service for two weeks every summer. She also does charity work with the Service of the Lord Convent and the Incarnate Word Seminary.

More Information
Patients who need Yellow Fever injections may need Typhoid Fever and Hepatitis A vaccines along with Malaria medication and something for Travelers' Diarrhea. If you are going to a place at a high attitude like Peru, you will need medication for altitude sickness. We stock all vaccines. If you require a vaccine that is not listed with us, please contact our office for assistance.
